Please tell our followers a little about yourself. What is a typical day in the life of ‘you’?
Well, I’m a freelance editor as well as an author. So, I generally wake up before 7 AM, yes, even on weekends…whatever those are. Then I go to Starbucks, where I don’t drink coffee. Seriously, I bring green tea and eat their pastries. There, I look at my deadlines and work on the most pressing assignment. Or, I allow my muse to dictate because that’s what’s awesome about making your own schedule.
Can you tell us a little about Action?
When the bright lights and flashing cameras of Hollywood capture your every move, how can you fulfill your deepest desires? For Zack Greene, a formerly out-of-control actor, and Steve Michaels, the director who unearthed the heart of the man beneath the ego, it’s a constant struggle.
In public, Steve and Zack are the picture of professional partners. However, behind closed doors, their partnership is taken to a new level. They engage in a carefully constructed Dom/sub relationship that not only brings them pleasure, but keeps Zack from slipping back into his wild ways.Their delicate balance is thrown askew when a producer on the show threatens to expose their lifestyle, while taking advantage of Zack in a moment of vulnerability. Will Steve be able
to ease the pain and save the love they share? Or will they come apart when they need each
other most?
*Warning: Light BDSM, D/s relationship, spanking, and hot m/m sex*
Do you have a current work in progress? If so, can you tell us a little about it?
Yes! I’m writing the sequel to Action. I hope to have it released at the end of September, but my muse needs to stop distracting me with the prequel, which is going in the print edition of the series. I’m so excited and grateful to be doing what I am.
What has been the hardest emotionally or time consuming thing you’ve had to research
for one of your stories? The most time consuming has definitely been the research into the
BDSM lifestyle for the Ben’s Life series. I came into the idea armed only with the books I
read (about the same topic) which I wanted to prove wrong.
Have any of your characters resembled people in real life?
Physically, for my first series, I chose actors to model the characters after. With Ben’s Life, I played god with my boys, built Zack and Steve to exact specifications of how I saw them. In this series, more than any other I’ve written, the characters’ bodies mattered for more than the ability to excite readers because of the Dom/sub dynamic in their relationship. Despite the fact that Zack was physically stronger and more muscular, he was still the submissive partner, highlighting his consent to be dominated, and love for the man doing it.
What is your favourite thing about being an author?
Two part answer, I love creating worlds, telling stories no one else can. These characters become a part of me and it’s hard to let go. The second part: When fans tell me that they too have fallen in love with my boys and the stories they inhabit.
Quickie Question Round:
Sexiest feature in a man? Eyes.
If you were deserted on an island and could only have one man with you – who would it be? Matthew Lawrence.
Tell us something on your bucket list. Seeing Les Miserables in London.
Your bookshelf is on fire, you can only save what you can carry what do you save? A Home at the End of the World by Michael Cunningham.
And lastly, If our viewers wanted to find out more about your work where can they find it and you?
