Lion And The Falcon

What’s a poor feline to do when trouble strikes from every direction?
Find a pillow and a patch of sunlight for a relaxing nap, or realize that sometimes a lion needs to make new rules and show a stubborn falcon he’s more than just a handsome kitty?
Avian Soaring Security has transferred Clarice to the Furry United Coalition so she can help track some escaped psycho patients. As if that weren’t bad enough, they partnered her with the very pampered Dr. Manners. Everything about the attractive feline annoys her, except for his flaming hot kisses. But is passion enough to keep a usually sparring species together?
Nolan’s pedigree isn’t the only thing preventing him from falling for his sexy partner. She’s bossy, violent, rude and oh so intriguing to this curious cat, but his meddlesome mother will never allow him to get involved with a bird. But before he can decide if love is worth bucking pride tradition, he needs to stay out of the clutches of a demented ex-patient.
Let me start off by saying I love a book that can make me laugh and Eve’s book always do that. Her sarcastic humor is amazing. For example FUC: Furry United Coalition and ASS: Avian Soaring Security. Those two acronyms make for some extremely funny jokes throughout the whole book.
The FUC series is a great series. It is about shapeshifters trying to save the world. So far they have focused on saving both humans and shapeshifters from the Mastermind and the effects of his experiments. I love how you get to see characters from previous books. It always makes me a little more invested in the characters when you get to revisit them.
Clarice is a Falcon on loan from ASS to help FUC stop the after effects of the Mastermind. She is a really fun character. I thought it was hilarious how she purposely goaded Nolan’s mom. Who intentionally messes with a mama lion? That takes some serious balls. At first she was a bit standoffish but once Nolan broke down her walls I really enjoyed seeing her open up. I thought she was the perfect match to not only his but his pride. I thought it was hilarious how she called him Sylvester. Made me laugh every time. Lol
Nolan is quite hilarious. He is a lion so he needs quite a bit of sleep and food. I loved how Clarice was always making fun of his hair because his mane takes up so much time to do. He really seemed to about his patients and didn’t like the idea of putting them down with lethal force. It made him very endearing. I thought his relationship with his mom was dysfunctional but very loving. Lol It worked for them. I especially liked his threat of moving to San Francisco to live with the Gay Pride.
This book is absolutely hilarious; I know I already mentioned that but I think it needs repeating. lol I highly recommend this book and series to just about everyone.
