REVIEW: Rebound by Sabrina York

Rebound

4.5 HEARTS

From Goodreads

Kristi Cross has had the hots for her friend, Cameron Jackson as long as she can remember, but she knows she’s not his type. She’s nothing like the women he dates. So when he suggests they play for a kiss over a game of Hearts, Kristi can’t resist. Even if she loses, she wins. Because she’s finally going to taste him.

Of course, one kiss can quickly become something altogether steamier, especially when both parties are on the rebound…

Fall in Love on Tryst Island… When a group of friends share a vacation house, wild hijinks, unexpected hook-ups and steamy sex ensue.

Rebound is the first book in the Tryst Island series by Sabrina York and holy Hannah is this book hot! It's a great start to what I expect to be a great series. Ms. York has the amazing ability to write smart characters with the perfect balance of intelligence, snarkiness and heat! Not only did I find myself enjoying the witty banter, but the sexual tension and the actual sex scenes were smoldering.

The Tryst Island series is set up around a group of college friends. 2 of the friends own a big beautiful house on the Island; the others all share the utilities and living expenses. The house is used as a getaway whenever an individual or the group wants to escape life and it's demands.

Kristi Cross is ready for her weekend away. As the co-owner of a busy coffee shop and having recently discovered her boyfriend's cheating ways this little break from life couldn't have come at a better time. The only hitch in her plan is Cameron signed in, on the group's online calendar, to be there this weekend, as well. It's not that she doesn't like Cameron, the oposite, actually. She has had a thing for him since high school. Unfortunately, she isn't anywhere near his type.

Cameron Jackson can't figure out if it's a blessing or a curse when he shows up early at the Island house and sees that Kristi is already there. The attraction that he has for her is getting harder and harder to ignore. Now, they won't even have the distraction of the other friends for several hours. And then it hits him; Why fight it? He and his girlfriend have broke up and Kristi is newly single. This is the perfect chance to explore the feelings that he has for her and see if she feels the same way.

This book is so good. I am not even sure I have the words to describe how good this book is (coincidentally is why I am a reader and not a writer). The attraction and sparks are palpable. I read a ton of romance and erotica and I can honestly say Sabrina has a way of sucking you right into the story. I found my heart beating faster, my palms sweating, the rest is too much information :0 Read this book! You won't be sorry! I actually won this book and am so thankful that I did.
